I needed some time off.

And I told nobody about it. Sorry.

Hey guys…

I’ve had some family visiting from Brazil, and I took almost a week off from my 9-5 thanks to Easter. But even before that the internet became a bit too much for me to handle and my writing and editing went nowhere.

The sun is amazingly out in Vancouver, which is a rare sight. I’d like to say I’ve been spending all this time outside, but that’s not true. Today, for example, the last day of my little vacation, I spent inside either organizing or playing Sun Haven, a cozy game I’ve been hating for over a month now. I’m not enjoying it, but I decided I was going to finish at least the main story line. It’s not that I hate the game itself, but it has MANY elements I dislike in farming games. And the art style is just not my thing. But I want to finish a game for a change.

I’ve been taking some pretty cool flower photos, though. The old lady photographer in me grows stronger every single spring.

Even though I haven’t been writing or editing I’ve been writing down little notes to myself, story details and plot points that came to my mind as I move through the days. Maybe this time off is actually helping me move forward with the stories without really focusing too much on it. I was feeling overwhelmed with all the things I wanted to do and how the current state of the world affects my plans and my ability to work on them.

To ease my mind I’ve been playing a game I’m not really enjoying… I mean. I’m far from perfect.

I wanted to jump in here and write something for both you, who’s been reading me, and for myself. I find that writing down the uncertainties help me process my feelings and ease my mind.

I’ll see you guys soon. Both with better written and more interesting newsletter, and with new chapters of the novel.

See ya.
